Wireside Chats!

Whether you’re a wine geek or novice, you’re invited to join our new on-line Wireside Chats. We’re excited to offer these easy-to-participate live-chat tasting sessions with experts and other participants about wine while sharing experiences and opinions on Cabs, Pinots, Spanish, domestic or Old World varieties. No experience necessary! Each virtual tasting is one hour devoted to a given theme, and hosted by one or more of the D&W Fresh Market wine specialists.

On-Line Virtual Tastings

• Purchase the 3 featured wines for the event. All wines for each tasting are available at D&W Fresh Market wine departments.
• Settle down in the comfort of your own home with your computer, and print the wine notes and positioning mats available for each tasting. Open the pre-selected wines, pour them into glasses, and set them on your tasting mat.
• We’ll walk through the 5 S method - "swirl, sniff, sip, swish and savor" - of discovering the subtle essence of each featured wine and compare all three. Participants will discuss and share their impressions. No wine experience necessary!
• Learn about participant only wine offers!

Host a Virtual Tasting Party

Chats are an opportunity for everyone so invite several friends with laptops to an entertaining and delicious in-home virtual tasting! Have everyone register and participate. Talk about the wines – what you like, what you don’t like, and make it a fun evening together.

Wine & Cheese Pairing Bread, Cheese, Wine. It doesn’t get much better! What wines go best with what cheeses? How should you organize a Wine & Cheese party for friends? REGISTER for this event, purchase the three wines and three cheeses at your D&W Fresh Market, add some crusty French bread, then settle down and join Roz Mayberry for an on-line wine tasting and pairing. These are the 3 wines we will taste with our cheeses--all available at D&W Fresh Market: Clifford Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Dr. Loosen "Dr L." Mosel Riesling Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages Cheeses--Get a selection of cheeses. Avoid spiced, herbed or fruited cheeses. Just get a plain version of each of the following: Cheddar (Cabot is lovely) Emmenthal Brie (Fromager d'Affinois is the creamiest) Soft goat cheese, Blue (Point Reyes or Maytag are the smoothest) And have plain crackers- Bremner Wafers from the cracker aisle (the best cheese cracker ever). Or a crusty LaBrea French baguette (not the sourdough).
